Inquiry:  On a ticket I received recently the officer wrote ‘ON’ as my sex. Does that make it a void careless driving ticket?

Response:  Unfortunately that would not be a critical error.  Careless Driving charges are one of the most serious charges that can be issued under the Highway Traffic Act, carrying 6 demerit points and generally resulting in no longer qualifying for standard insurance coverage if convicted.  Generally these charges can be reduced to a lesser minor offence barring any grounds to have the charge eliminated outright.  If you would like to discuss your case in more detail, we offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
