Inquiry:  Hi, I had my Licence suspended for 1 month about 3 years ago. I am applying to become a cop here and am worried about what could happen after I disclose to them that I drove while suspended. I didn’t drive aften, maybe around 10 times all month. Can I still be charged?

Response:  You would have to speak with the specific policing agency that you are applying to regarding their policies.  We are a paralegal company that deals with charges before the Court.  From your inquiry, it is unclear whether you had been convicted under DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION or if you simply had your licence suspended.  If a licence is suspended, it does not matter whether you are stopped on your first or hundredth time driving while the licence is suspended…driving on a suspended licence may result in serious charges and penalties.
