Inquiry: I was pulled over and given a ticket for ” driver- failed to properly wear seatbelt ” upon review of the ticket one of the numbers in my license number isn’t correct or not distinct. Further review the ” r’s” with in my first name and on some other words on the ticket look like ” I’s ” and other words and the officers name the ” r’s ” are distinct. Now I would like to have some guidance on this subject
Response: From what you describe it is unlikely that the issues would be a fatal error to charge. However, you may have other defences available or it may be possible to eliminate the demerit points.
