Amber – Yellow Light ticket
Question: Inquiry My wife received two tickets today. One for Amber light – failed to stop,
the other for Failed to surrender permit for motor vechile.
Will she get
any demerit points for these tickets? She could not stop. If so, how much will it cost to fight
the tickets?
Response: There are 3 demerits for the Amber light charge, none for the fail to produce. It is a potential defense to the amber light charge if you were so close to the intersection when it turned that you could not stop. I will ask someone to follow up with you.
