Inquiry: I received a ticket a few months ago but paid it through the mail with a cheque. I didn’t hear back about it but today got a notice that my license has been suspended..what can I do? I live in Ontario
Response: You will likely want to first verify whether the cheque issued has been cashed. If you have a record that the cheque was cashed, then there may simply have been an administrative error at the court or there may be some other reason that your licence went under suspension. Once you have determined the status of the cheque, you may wish to speak with a Court Clerk about what options are open to you.
