Inquiry: Hi, My husband was pulled over and given a ticket for driving under suspended license due to points but he was not aware the license was suspended. Went to Provincial offences and said he was not suspended but the police are saying he is. Can you please tell me what steps can he take
Response: Likely the best resource would be to confirm with the MTO on whether his licence was suspended on the date of the alleged offence. DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION charges carry very serious penalties including up to a total payable fine of $6,250.00, a mandatory 6 month suspension of licence upon conviction, and possible jail time. If he would like to discuss the details of his case with one of our staff in regards to retaining legal representation, we offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
