Inquiry:  I got a ticket for stopping over the white line in barrie(I’m from  Hamilton), the cop said I did stop but in the wrong place. The weather was  snow squalls and high winds and the sign was at the bottom of he hill. I  was unsure of where I was going and was looking at the street signs. The  cop came to my window and proceeded to tell me I had no intention of  stopping I I didn’t see them, which is untrue. I had my 9mth old son in car  and would always drive cautiously. I just didn’t want to do a hard stop incase I slid. What are your thoughts on pleading inocent to the charge???

Response:  We could  certainly get a disclosure of evidence from the Prosecutor’s Office to review and see if the charge could be withdrawn or at least be reduced to a lesser offence.  If you would like to discuss defending the charge, we offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
