Inquiry:  In the fall of 2011 I was pulled over and ticketed for driving without  insurance. My time to pay came and went, and since I couldn’t find  employment I was unable to pay the fine. At this point can I enter into a  payment plan to have my license reinstated?

Response:  The period to deal with extending a payment deadline for fines is before it elapses.  If you have missed your payment deadline, the Court may have suspended your driver’s licence for non-payment.  You may want to check the status of your licence with the MTO and speak to a local court clerk to see what options, if any, are available regarding payment.
