Inquiry:  Years ago I received a seat belt ticket in Quebec. I reside and have a valid Ontario drivers licence. I let it go unpaid and received a letter in the mail well over a year later stating that my licence is now suspended for us in Quebec.

My question is, is there any way that I can go about reinstating the use of my Ontario licence there? I would like to visit again this year.

Response:  For specific questions regarding licencing, you will need to speak with the goverment directly for their current policies and procedures.  Being stopped for driving with a suspended licence can lead to very costly penalties, while dealing with the underlying causes of that suspension of licence can generally be much less expensive.
