Inquiry:  I was caught for driving under suspension for unpaid fines twice. I have since paid my fines and got my licence reinstated, though the court date is coming up in a couple months for driving under suspension. Is there any chance for getting the charges downgraded to something without further suspension?

Response:  If you are facing two counts of DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION, you are facing some very serious penalties at court.  The minimum total payable fines for a first and second offence are $1,250.00 and $2,500.00 respectively, and each go up to a maximum of $6,250.00.  Each charge carries a mandatory 6 month suspension upon conviction and once a driver is on their second offence, there is a very real risk of jail time being issued.  If you would like to discuss your case in further detail, we offer a no-cost initial review of matters via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
