Inquiry: I was stopped and the officer stated my l licence was suspended. I never rec’d any notice as I moved and my license had old address.. what will happren? also I had no insurance . My license was suspended apparently for an unpaid fine. The officer gave me 3 notice to appear in court and I need to know what will happen
Response: DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION and OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE – NO INSURANCE both carry very serious penalties. It would likely be possible to reduce those penalties at court, however the original responsibility to pay the fine and keep the MTO updated with your current address would have been yours.
