Inquiry:   i totalled my truck and got a 480$ fine plus automatic 30 day suspension but when i got my ticket they spelt port colborne wrong they spelt it like “port colbourne” and they also wrote there wasnt any witness’s when there were a couple that called the police and reported it. This happened in Ontario, Canada.

Response:  The two issues that you mentioned would not be critical errors in the case.  The charge itself is a very serious one with substantial consequences for demerit points and insurance.  Generally Ontario Careless Driving charges can be reduced to a minor offence and in some cases can be thrown out entirely.  If you would like one of our staff to review your case in more detail, we offer a no-cost initial review of matters via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299.
