Response: A charge of Careless Driving is a very serious offence carrying 6 demerit points upon conviction and generally meaning that the convicted driver will be moved onto a high-risk insurance carrier. Most such cases can generally be resolved without the need for a full trial to either have the charge reduced to a lesser offence or, where possible, have the charge eliminated completely. We offer a no-cost initial review of cases via our toll-free number 1-866-801-8299 to provide some basic feedback about where a given case will likely go to at Court. If you would like to speak to one of our staff in more detail about your case, we should be able to provide you with some fairly solid feedback about what can be done.
