Inquiry: Hi my licence was suspended because i failed to pay a speeding ticked. But it did mail the cheque i don’t know what happened. Anyways now i have to go to the provincial offences court to pay a fine to get it reinstated, what are the other repercussions of this…. do i have demerit points – once i pay to i get my licence back (after the 3-5 day processing) will this make my test for a full license more difficult?
Response: So long as you were issued no other tickets in regards to driving on a suspended licence, then you have no other court/MTO penalties. However, the record of licence suspension may have an impact on your insurance rates.
