| Demerit Point System |
Many driving-related offences cause demerit points to be recorded on your record. These are called Demerit Points because drivers begin with zero demerit points and accumulate demerit points for each conviction. Demerit points stay on your record for two years and if you receive enough points, you can lose your driver's licence. Learn about the points assigned to various offences. |
